In addition to his incredible sales figures, he has also received 5 Grammy nominations and earned 15 Blues Music Award nominations with 4 wins. He has also been rated #1 in the Top 100 Guitar Player, ranked as Billboard's Blues Artist of the Year.
With the iconic singer/songwriter and guitarist Warren Haynes at the helm. Formed in 1994, Gov't Mule has been playing for over two decades of deeply exploratory, and rootsy blues, Southern rock, and classic jam band styles, all their own. Their rendition of the Allman Brothers' "Soulshine" is a crowd favorite.
The Grammy award for Best Traditional Blues Album for Heavy Load Blues, was their second Grammy nomination, the first was in 2003 for The Deep End Live, and a Jammy Award in 2018 for Best Live Performance for Shamrockstowne.
An open air venue located at 5734 Sturgeon Lake Rd, Welch, MN 55089 on the shores of the Mississippi River at the Treasure Island Resort & Casino. The venue is approximately 40 miles from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and hosts many events throughout the summer months.
The Treasure Island Amphitheater has 16,000 permanently molded seats into the outdoor structure of the venue. For a majority of the Treasure Island Amphitheater's outdoor concerts guests can expect to find General Admission seating, as well as seating within the Pit. Treasure Island offers on-site parking on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, the Island Ride is available on event days and will transport you from the lots to the front of the Amphitheater. The Island Ride shuttle service will be provided to transport you from the Treasure Island Resort & Casino parking lots to the Treasure Island Amphitheater for all events.
